Hush privacy choices

Delete data, keep your account

Hush’s Panic wipe removes your public mask and activity while preserving your login account, allowing you to return later with a fresh mask.

How to request a Panic wipe

  1. Open Hush and go to your mask profile.
  2. Open Settings & Safety.
  3. Select Panic wipe.
  4. Read the warning, type WIPE, and confirm.
  5. You have 30 seconds to select Undo. After that, the wipe is processed and cannot be reversed.

If you cannot access the app, email hello@cookoo.dev from your registered address and ask for a data-only Panic wipe.

Data removed by Panic wipe

Panic wipe removes your reactions, follows, saved posts, notification inbox, reaction indexes, block list, and muted-word list. Your mask, confessions, and comments are immediately hidden from other Hush users and removed from public feeds and rankings.

Other users can no longer search for, visit, or interact with the wiped mask or its hidden content. Active sessions are revoked so every signed-in device drops the wiped identity.

Data retained after Panic wipe

Your Firebase login account and a restricted private account record are retained so you can sign in again and create a fresh mask. The wiped handle may remain reserved to prevent another person from impersonating the former mask.

Hidden mask, confession, and comment records, raw safety reports, and restricted audit records may be retained for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and legal claims. They are not visible to regular Hush users.

Panic wipe is therefore a data-removal option, not full account deletion. For permanent removal of your login account and associated identifying data, use the Delete Hush account page.
