ScoopRooms
Guess which friend the scoop is about.

Overview
ScoopRooms is a game built on the oldest social mechanic there is: gossip, but playful and consenting. Someone drops an anonymous 'scoop' into a room of friends, everyone tries to guess who it's about, and the reveal is the payoff. We took that idea and turned it into a tight, repeatable loop with a warm, disarming look so it always reads as fun rather than mean.

The challenge
Anonymity is the entire product and also the entire risk. The scoops have to feel genuinely anonymous for the guessing to matter, while the design has to keep the whole thing on the right side of playful.
The other challenge was rhythm. A social game lives or dies on its loop — write, guess, reveal, repeat — and any friction in that cycle kills the session. Every screen had to push the player toward the next scoop.

How we approached it
We designed the loop first and the screens second. Writing a scoop is a single focused screen with a character counter and one obvious button — Drop Scoop. Guessing is a card you tap, with an immediate points animation so the reward lands before you can second-guess it. The reveal closes the loop and hands you straight into the next round.
Progression keeps people coming back. Players climb from Newbie through Insider, Scoopster and up to Headliner, each tier a small badge of how good a room's gossip detective you are. Rooms, search and shareable invites make it dead simple to pull a friend group in.
The whole thing wears a soft cream-and-orange palette and a hand-drawn wordmark on purpose. Gossip apps can curdle fast; the warmth is a design decision that keeps ScoopRooms feeling like a game night, not a callout.
